Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Are You Ripplin'?
This is a great album that takes me back. Ripple is truly a great "Underground" funk group. They have some great hooks and melodies. "I Don't Know What It Is, But It Sure Is Funky" is a great song. Not to mention "See The Light In The Window", and "Be My Friend." Just Great songs, and I really recomend it. I sincerely do.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - forgotten funk and dusty grooves
This is a great collection of obscure party gems that will keep the old schoolers rockin'.West-coast rap pioneers, Low Profile, sampled "Funky Song" on thier late eighties debut,"We're In This Together".If you like Tower of Power, you'll love Ripple!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Little Known Funkmeisters!
If you like bands like Mandrill and early Santana then you'll probably like these guys. Very funky, great organ work & some tight ensemble playing. The only drawback is that their sound becomes a little repetitious which is why I didn't give 5 stars. Overall though ,I highly recommend this disc. Nice grooves abound!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - funky!!
this sure is funky yall, pick up on it today!!j.h.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sticky Funk Along the Lines of Mandrill...
This Meters meets Mandrill hard driving funk group has been well kept secret of the hip hoppers... you've probably heard samples from it, but these guys aren't exactly household names like JB and The Neville Brothers... still, if you like hard, in your face percussion, horn and B-3 driven funk, this is THE album by RIPPLE to get. So my question is... when's BLACK HEAT going to get reissued ?
