I can't help but become nostagic about Percy Faiths version of "A Summer Place". For me it brings back such vivid childhood memories and also brings about an instant feeling of security.

Percys arrangements involving lush chromatic counter melodies and pizzicato violin strings were the best.
"Theme from a Summer Place" was almost the highpoint of the movie ...

I had the old LP of Percy Faith's greatest hits. Just browsing on Amazon.com, I came across this album, and decided to purchase it after listening to the sample tunes. I really love the song "Theme From a Summer Place". If you really enjoy good music and don't care for some of junk that is being released nowadays, give this one a try. I think you'll enjoy it. It's a great album to just unwind to after a hectic day.

This CD is a great compilation of some of Percy Faith's most popular arrangements. The sound quality is excellent, as is the track selection. This is one Faith album you have to own if your a fan of his. Most of his prettiest songs are on this cd including my favorite Arrivedercia Roma.To date this is the only Faith cd you will find Arrivedrcia Roma on unless they reissiue Bon Voyage which isn't likely no time soon.Nick Perido does the conducting here but on most songs you can't tell a difference. He sounds just like Faith.A good reissiue by Ranwood.
