Rating: - A haunting mix of ethereal goth music
"Beneath the Icy Floe, Vol.5" was my first introduction to Projekt Records and to artists such as Lycia and (my personal fave) Black Tape for a Blue Girl. I bought this cd a few years ago when I found a used copy in the cd bins. I was just rediscovering goth music and thought this would be the ideal cd. Rating: - Takes you to another place
This album is beautiful, etheareal, and lush. Lots of heavenly vocals and music. Some tracks echo a Dead Can Dance feel combining ethnic and ambient beats. There's a few tracks that loses a little of the albums feel but over all a great addition to a music collection.
