One review reviewer below refers to Dave Clark as a 'shrewd businessman'. Yeah--he's shrewd and we're screwed!!!
Even if we love the DC5's music, why get so excited over an old, inferior CD that has no business being so rare and overpriced?
You think Dave Clark is 'a very shrewd businessman' because--unlike the Beatles--he owns the rights to all of his music? Then why is he sitting on all the music??? Is he hoading it for himself. What is he doing with those rights? Hey ...

Never expected that anyway. Sure it's nice to have original single releases (mono) but this day and age, why would producers waste their time on this? If you can dig up master tapes of mono tracks, surely could have gotten stereo ones... which also exist from the LPs. Disappointing. Now we're still in limbo waiting for a REAL collection...

This collection has not only the essential tunes from a unique era of music, but some other gems that were missed by the general population (namely, me). So, I thoroughly enjoyed this trip down memory lane and the exposure to all the unheard tunes from the "vault". Of course some songs were better than others but the opportunity to hear "new" tunes (for me) from one of the leading "British Invasion" bands is just unheard of. I am VERY happy to have this CD set.

Although this 2-cd sets have a lot of their hits, for Filipino DC5 fans, there's quite a few hits that were not included. To name a few: Your Turn to Cry, Forever & a Day, Sometimes, etc. Also the song Till the Right One Comes Along is an edited version & does not include the piano part in the adlib. Anyway CONGRATS to the DC5 for being inducted in the R&R Hall of Fame & sympathies for the passing away of Mike Smith & Dennis Peyton.

Too bad such an incredible group and great songs have to be in boring MONO. There are fantastic stereo versions of Glad all over And Any way you want it,out there, with echoes and special effects, etc. But it looks like we will never hear them. Buy at your own risk, but be warned-it gets dull listening to so much great music on your headphones without stereo after awhile.
