Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - vital flotsam cd,a lost masterpeice
this is not the most brutal thrash cd or on thr fast side either but truely solid and hard. I saw them with sacred reich/ king diamond.94-96? they can pull off this cd live with ease and honestly they were the high light of those two tours.they got their start more for jason newsted's move to metallica but with no place for disgrace / when the storm comes down they showed they had talent and fury but with this release they lose another bassist to prong troy gregory. this time they want deep to come ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Just another overlooked metal masterpiece from the 90's
For metal novices, the only time you'll hear of the band Flotsam & Jetsam is when they are mentioned as the band bassist Jason Newsted left to join Metallica. For the rest of us, Flotsam & Jetsam remains one of the most underrated acts in metal over the past decade or two, and 1992's "Cuatro" is another overlooked metal masterpiece from the 90's that really went unnoticed, just like the band themselves. The first three tracks here; "Natural Enemies", "Swatting at Flies", and "Message", are masterpieces, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - If the first 2 tracks don't do it for you...
I don't know what can. At least in terms of F'nJ. Natural Enemies is a fantastic number by these underrated thrash masters, and Swatting at Flies, with its offbeat riffs straight out of the heavy metal textbook, is so catchy you'll most likely be hooked. Everything else on Cuatro is awesome as well, but the first two tracks stand out from the rest in my humble opinion. For me, the albums you MUST HAVE from Flotsam and Jetsam are Doomsday for the Deceiver, When the Storm Comes Down, Cuatro, and High. NONE ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent
I love this CD. The production is better. Cool album cover too with the helicopter. They slow the music down a little bit on this release. The moods and the vibe on this one are just so cool. Swatting at flies- what a great song. I just can't say anymore about this CD. The way the whole album feels musically and mood wise is just so cool.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - This was the first album I heard from Flotsam and Jetsam....
and ever since then I was hooked. They truely are a great, under rated metal band. Their album "Cuatro" is awesome. With tons of kickass riffs and melodies. The CD opens up with the intense "Natural Enemies", and might I add, what a way to open up indeed. The first five songs are strong overall, then around the middle things slow down a bit but pick up again around track 9. It may not be as good as some of their earlier releases such as "No Place For Disgrace" but is a worthy album for any thrash fan's collection. ... Read More
