This is the only best-of compilation (AFAIK) that includes "The Only Flame in Town", which evidently Elvis never liked but is in fact one of his best tunes. And it's a song that you want on a greatest hits comp because you sure don't want to buy the crappy album it originally appeared on (_Goodbye Cruel World_).
This CD's only shortcoming is the lack of "High Fidelity", from the _Get Happy!_ album. I would also have included "Less Than Zero" from the debut, but I can live without it. ...

I had to write something because the other review does not do this disc justice at all. This was the very first CD I ever bought (May 1986) and I still play it. It was one of the first compilations done specifically for CD (65 minutes was a lot of music in those days) and although I have another Costello collection that is more complete, I like this disc the best. All 19 songs are wonderful and the sequencing is better than in the other compilations I've seen. This is apparently out of print, ...

This is actually a decent hits disc, but the only collection that's in print, and not an import, is "The Very Best Of Elvis Costello". That's 42 tracks and 2 cd's of his best stuff. Highly recommended.
