Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
A teen film ought to have a cheap and sleazy teen soundtrack, something frivolous and silly. Resurrecting German heavy-metal legends the Scorpions ("Rock You Like a Hurricane," no less) satisfies the silly part. For frivolous, there are several generic '90s alterna-rockers sounding a bit more charged (Letters to Cleo, Ednaswap). Not to be lost in the shuffle are Imperial Teen, who sashay in with a sprightly, silly romp called "Yoo Hoo," while most of the others recall the fun, fun, fun vibe of retro-rock of years past. Shampoo evince the excitability of early-'80s new wave with "Don't Call Me Babe." The Friggs' "Bad Word for a Good Thing" re-creates the neo-garage revival of the mid '80s. The Donnas approximate the Kim Fowley-inspired female teen dream of the Runaways. The Prissteens squash the '60s girl-group formula through a ratty distortion pedal. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - songs missing??
Whats the song that is playing when Julie is walking under the bleachers at school after the principal anounced that Liz died??? The fact that there are so many missing songs is my only complaint.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - not bad, but could be better
this soundtrack wasn't too bad. it was missing some essential songs such as the veruca salt classic "volcano girls" and the cars' "good times roll" but other than that there are a lot of kick-ass songs on there. My top songs would be the following:

Don't Call Me Babe
Yoo Hoo
Water Boy
Trouble (only featured in theatrical trailer, not actual film)

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Alright
I really liked all the songs in this movie. They weren't used exessively and flowed with what was going on in the movie. The only problem I have is that the song that's playing when Julie is walking under the bleachers isn't on the soundtrack. Does anyone know what this is?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - This CD was so good I almost choked on my jawbreaker!
I loved this CD a lot. I heard of the movie Jawbreaker through the Donnas website, back in 2003 because they did a cameo in it near the end. This movie is great and the soundtrack has yet to dissapoint me. A lot of the bands are indie artist that I never heard of until I bought the soundtrack. These bands are awesome!! This is what I think about each song:

1. "Yoo Hoo" - Imperial Teen: this song I find funny. But, out of all the songs I find funny (for example, "Ice Ice Baby") this has ... Read More
