Editorial Review:

Album Description:
The audio CD of Sound of The Fifth Season gathers the best tracks of the summer in a unique mix by Sven Väth, sometimes tending to a song-focused selection. He succeeded once more in transforming the eight or nine hours of a CocoonClub party at the Amnesia into the 72 minutes of a CD without losing the spirit of the party. The tracks by Freeform Five, Roman Flügel and Goldfrapp were the hits this summer and perfectly reflect the atmosphere of that night.

On the DVD portion, an exclusive interview shows the person and the artist Sven Väth -- talking about Ibiza and his motivation to go there as well as a review of the five years of CocoonClub Ibiza including snippets from many friends and colleagues. A forty minute Live DJ Set by Sven Väth (the first one on DVD ever!) and the live recording of Alter Ego's milestone 'Rocker' from the Amnesia round out this DVD, which gives the spectator a glance behind the scenes that has never been possible before.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It's OK
I was kind of dissapointed with this one, but I'll admit I still listen to a few tracks from it now and then. It does come with a pretty cool DVD of a set at Amnesia, but it's only a couple of 20 minute clips. I still enjoy watching it, though. There just aren't as many tracks on this album as I would have liked, and they were a little too mainstream. I just expected something more like the Sound of the Third Season with Richie Hawtin, and it just wasn't that.
