A very tasty assortment of gems. Very neo-soul flavored ride on the Choklate side. She creates her own brand of candy chocolate treates.
Uptempo, balads, thought-provoking, inspirational, they are all there.
A nice addition to any soul music lover' collection.

i truly feel bad for the audience that strictly relies on the radio and corny redundant video shows to put them on to good music. the only problem with that is that you would miss out on somebody like choklate. this girl sounds great and has an album with great production as well. i can't imagine anyone not liking this work. my favorite is "wish i hadn't told you" becuase the music moves you and she is actually saying something. the fact that she writes her songs impresses me also. there is always time for radio garbage but just consider that with less laziness and more effort you can find much better representation of the r&b that's on airwaves. trust me. i was completely dependant on the radio too but thank God i woke up.
i love choklate and this albums quality. she does not dissappoint. get it.

I PURCHASED THE KAJMERE COMPILATION AND LISTENED TO HER TRACK AND HAD TO GET THIS JOINT.SHE COULD BE A BREAKOUT ARTIST SOON, IF SHE CONTINUES TO ROLL LIKE THAT.A HOPE U SOUL LOVERS GIVE HER A LISTEN,SHE IS EXCEPTIONAL.

I first heard Choklate on an online radio station and I had to have the album. I went to Moods Music in Atlanta, Ga and they sold out two times that I went to pick it up. I finally got a hold of the album and I just can't get enough. My favorites are "Long Way", "Heavy" and "Dedicated to Music" although there is not a song on the album that I'll skip over. The production is great and her vocals are absolutely beautiful. Choklate is the truth! I saw her live this past weekend and she's is really great live too! This is not an album that you want to put off purchasing. GET IT NOW!! I also love the song, "Incredible". You cannot go wrong with this album!

After hearing a radio interview with this new artist from Seattle, I decided to give her a try and purchase the CD. I was extremely satisfied from the moment I hit play. I let every song rock from the beginning to the end and was pleasantly surprised. With her debut album, Choklate has put Seattle on the map.
Her neo-soul, up-tempo, heart felt ballads will make a great gift for anyone who enjoys artists like Fertile Ground, JazzyFatNastees, Kindred, K.Alyn, Raheem DeVaughn, Amel Larrieux, etc. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
