Yes it is possible to take ProjectVIBE on the go wherever you are... the Gym, your Car stereo, wherever. In this post I'll show you how to connect to ProjectVIBE using your smartphone.
We will be connecting to the ProjectVIBE audio stream using the Pocket Tunes software.
There may be a way to connect to ProjectVIBE with various smart phones, but this guide will focus on the Treo 650 - 700 and the Palm Centro smartphones.

What You'll need:
============================
1. The Phone
Either Palm Treo (most any model will work), or Centro.
2. A 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter

3. A car stereo with an auxiliary jack for portable mp3 players (If you intend to listen to ProjectVIBE in your car).

4. A nice set of 3.5mm headphones, earbuds and/or a 3.5mm car auxiliary jack if you want to hear ProjectVIBE using your car stereo...

5. A data plan that allows unlimited access for streaming audio (most data plans do, but check with the customer service rep to make sure you're able to stream audio with no extra or hidden charges... don't say I didn't warn you.)
6. Last but not least... The Pocket Tunes Software. You can download a free evaluation at
http://pocket-tunes.com .
=========================================
Once you have all the necessary equipment, data plans, etc. together, with your phone get on the internet or the World Wide Web.
There are several ways to use Pocket-Tunes to stream audio but we will focus on the main two.
Connecting to ProjectVIBE
---------------------------
Once you connect your phone to the World Wide Web, go to
http://projectvibe.net/mobile using your phone.
On the Mobile Streaming page, click either the Hi bandwidth or Lo bandwidth link.
A screen will appear to download the pls file (either hi.pls or lo.pls). Make sure 'pTunes' is highlighted for the 'Save to:' option.
Select 'Yes' for the 'Do you want to download?' question.
After the file downloads to your phone, choose 'Save and open'.
The Pocket-Tunes software should automatically begin playing.
To get a better sound, you will have to use either the headphones or the cables to connect to your car stereo.
Simply insert the 2.5mm adapter in your phone, and insert either the headphones OR the car audio cables into the back of the 2.5mm jack.
That's all there is to it!
Let me know if you have any questions or comments OR if you were able to get streaming audio through a different phone/software.
This is an open forum so feel free to offer any tips that might be helpful.
Peace,
Elliott
