One day when the tropical sun of the Caribbean's met the snowfalls of the Scandinavian northern lights:
Kissey Asplund was born.
Kissey Asplund is her voice sound scape. With her laidback soft tone she outlets her emotions, letting her voice childishly do almost whatever it pleases to. Under her upbringing she was fed all kind of music, with a mother that adored diva singers and a father that listened to typical European pop and psychedelic rock from the 70ies.
She and music began when she was six playing the piano, and after some time she and music's relationship grew stronger and they became more and more inseparable. Radio was something she always listened to, but with the years she started to listen to more non-commercial hip hop and jazz stations.
Fast forward...
In the end of her teens this relationship, as many first loves, experienced a lot of nice times but also a few battles and fights, for the good and worse. When she turned 20 she felt that she wanted to spread her wings and see the world, have an unmusical life. So she dropped everything with music. She and music decided to divorce that autumn.
Kissey occupied herself with different things and somewhere found a life without music. One day when she was having some friends over for pancake and breakfast, one of them found an old CD-R, Kissey laughed and said :
-Well if you want you can have a listen.
One of her friends who is a rapper expressed that he had some beats that needed some vocals, nothing advanced. Kissey that had said good-bye to this thought about long and hard and finally decided: -Why not.
She helped him out, life passed on and so did Kissey's mind. After some years she helped some more friends, a couple of house producers, simply because they didn't know any other vocalists. And suddenly she found herself entertained and amused by something, and she was awed that music had snuck back into her life without her knowing it.
It was now the end of 2005. 3,5 whole years had passed by and suddenly she was falling more in love than ever.
